CSP Child Sponsorship Program

The CSP Child Sponsorship program is run by East European Mission Foundation. Within the framework of the Child Sponsorship Program, we provide regular, monthly financial support and various other allowances for children and their families in need, who are living in difficult life circumstances.

The children supported in Hungary, Transylvania, Vojvodina or Sub-Carpathians are living in most of the cases in large families, or in broken homes. We also support children, who are ill, or physically or mentally disabled. Communication between the supporter and the supported person is ensured by our volunteering fellow workers, who visit the families on a monthly basis and hand the financial aid over to the child’s guardian. Each supporter can choose from the following two options:

a.) when one would like to be the exclusive supporter of a child, they need to pay the amount of 11.000 HUF monthly (C.S.P. Plus);
b.) when one can support a child with paying an amount of 5.500 HUF monthly, they join the „C.S.P. Basis” Program. In this case, we are looking for two supporters per a child, in order to provide the following allowances:

In both of the cases, the child’s guardian is granted a financial aid of 7.000 HUF each month. From 2.000 HUF we set up a fund, which can finance the summer camps, the medical treatment, if applicable, for the children, the aid provided at starting school each year, food packages and Christmas presents.

The remaining 2.000 HUF can be spent on administration, cost of postage and on the reimbursement of expenses for the local people of contact. The supporter can be a private or legal person, or any kind of community. The supporter receives a detailed report with photos about the supported child at least once a year via our fellow worker.

The sum paid to the mission foundation’s bank account can be taken into account as a relief factor at tax deduction. We are to provide an official document (that can be applied at APEH, the Hungarian Tax and Financial Control Office) about the donations at the end of each calendar year. For this we need the supporter’s tax identification number.
